Dell Optimizer Audio Issues on Platforms with Older Audio Drivers

Symptoms

For users who have Dell Optimizer 4.0 and older audio drivers, they could experience the following Audio-related issues:

  • Jack Notification does not appear when a 3.5 mm jack is connected.
  • During a recording session, the on-screen notification alerting users that Remove My Background Noise is On does not appear.

These issues are fixed with the latest Audio driver.

Note:
  • If the Audio Driver version starts with 8.x.x.x, but it is lower than 8.2.0.955, it should be updated.
  • To check the audio driver version, reference the Dell Optimizer 4.0 User Guide.
    1. Open Dell Optimizer 4.0 User Guide
    2. Expand Getting started with Dell Optimizer.
    3. Expand Audio (Intelligent Audio).
    4. Click Check the audio driver version.
