- Select "Create Volume" in the central panel.
- Enter details for the Volume parameters, Name and Size.
- Leave the remaining fields as default.
- Ensure you press "Enter" after completing the fields or the "Next" button will not activate.
- Add optional Volume tags on the next page if needed and click "finish".
- To present the volume to hosts, select the newly created volume in the middle pane and click "Create/Modify Mapping".
- In the Create/Modify Volumes Mapping dialog, to select the initiator groups, check the boxes next to the hosts that you want to present the volumes to.
- On the "Select LUNs" page, XtremIO 4.0 or higher will default to LUN number 1, this must be changed manually if it is a boot LUN or if it needs to be designated as HLU0.
- Ensure the boxes are gray for the respective hosts to indicate mapping will occur, also use the enter key after making changes to activate the "Finish" button.
