PowerStore: System Health Checks detects recovery file

Instructions

System Health may fail the FSCK Leftover Check and display a failure message such as "/cyc_var/cyc-cfg.txt.d/cyc-sys-mode-override.txt exists, please refer to (KB#000201738)" one of the following scenarios:
 

  • Running a System Check using PowerStore Manager (UI) with the Run System Check option or with the Run Upgrade Extensions option:
  • Running a System Check using PowerStore Manager (UI) with the Run Upgrade Extensions option (PowerStoreOS 2.1.x only)

  • Running the System Health Service Script (svc_health_check) using an SSH connection:

The above message indicates that unexpected recovery files were detected on the appliance.

If System Health detects this condition, NDU will fail resulting in a node failure. NDU and maintenance operations should not be performed until this issue is resolved.
