Instructions

During the RAID array creation, we must add a name for the virtual disk:

Example: RAID NAME

RAID creation

Once we confirm and "Add to pending" jobs:

Add to pending jobs
We get the following error:

Warning message

Solution:

In order to avoid the error, name the Virtual Disk and avoid using spaces between words. Example:

"RAID_NAME" or "RAIDNAME" since spaces are not allowed. An additional option is leaving the name in blank, and autoname populates it once virtual disk is created.

Example:

RAID name

Create Virtual Disk

Setup Virtual Disk

Notes:
  • Autoname assigns a name as follows: Virtual Disk 0, Virtual Disk 1, Virtual Disk 2…Virtual Disk n." Autoname does allow spaces in its preconfigured naming.
  • The error is similar to what is in Lifecycle controller. Go to F2 > Device settings > Dell PERC HXXXX Adapter configuration utility > Configuration management > Create Virtual Disk > Virtual disk name:

Ok message
