Instructions

Prerequisites:  

NOTE: Once ONIE started in ONIE install mode, ONIE install mode persists until an operating system is installed successfully.
  1. Active console connection to the switch
  2. Access to the ONIE>ONIE Install
  3. IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway (if needed) assigned to management interface either using DHCP or manually
  4. File Server details with operating system software loaded.
 

Instructions:  

  1. Perform the 'onie-nos-install' command. HTTP, FTP, and TFTP options available.
ONIE:/ # onie-nos-install ftp://user:password@x.x.x.x/PKGS_OS10-Enterprise-10.5.3.2.89buster-installer-x86_64.bin
 
  1. The system will upload the operating system and then install the image into both partitions.
