Microsoft Teams 2.0

The Microsoft Teams 2.0 client is configured to automatically launch on computers with Windows 11. This can slow down the start-up performance on computers with spindle hard disk drives (HDD).


Solution

To disable Microsoft Teams from starting automatically, disable its entry in the Task Manager’s Startup list:

  1. Right-click the Start menu.
  2. Select the "Task Manager" option.
  3. Go to the "Startup" tab.
  4. Select the "Microsoft Teams" entry.
  5. Click the "Disable" button.
  6. Close the "Task Manager" window.
  7. Restart Windows.
