How to Collect Logs from an Isilon Cluster:

Web UI:
Dependent on your GUI version, you can:
Expand the Help menu, click Diagnostics, under the Gather Info tab, and click Start Gather.
Or

Under Cluster Management choose Diagnostics, the Gather tab, and click Start Gather.

This set of files is stored on the cluster in /ifs/data/Isilon_Support/pkg.

CLI:

If the web UI is unavailable or otherwise problematic, the isi_gather_info command provides a CLI equivalent for administrators.

If there is no full gather yet on the Cluster, the system runs a full gather. If there is a full gather already run on a cluster, perform an incremental gather. This takes a lot less space since it only records changes from the last time the full gather was run. Typically support looks for the latest data so this can sometimes work, for this, isi_gather_info -- incremental can be run and files are placed in /ifs/data/Isilon_Support/last_gather.
