Symptoms

Er werden slechts twee externe monitoren gedetecteerd wanneer deze werden aangesloten via het WD19 dockingstation op Ubuntu.

 

Latitude 9420 laptopbezitters met het Ubuntu 20.04-besturingssysteem kunnen het volgende probleem ondervinden bij het aansluiten van meerdere externe monitoren:

  • De laptop detecteert niet alle externe monitoren die zijn aangesloten.

Dit gebeurt onder de volgende omstandigheden:

  • U configureert drie of meer Quad High-Definition (QHD) externe monitoren.
  • U configureert drie of meer Full High-Definition (FHD) externe monitoren.
  • U configureert drie of meer High-Definition (HD) externe monitoren.
  • Ze zijn verbonden via een Dell WD19 serie dockingstation.
  • De laptop is aangeschaft met het Dell Ubuntu 20.04 besturingssysteem geïnstalleerd.

Cause

De Dell OEM Ubuntu 20.04 image ondersteunt maximaal twee externe monitoren via de WD19 dockingstationserie.

Resolution

Opmerking: Dit is het verwachte gedrag voor deze versie van het Ubuntu-besturingssysteem.

Sluit slechts twee externe schermen aan op deze laptop via het dockingstation bij gebruik van de Dell Ubuntu 20.04 image.
