PowerEdge: How to Configure RAID with Device Settings (LifeCycle Controller)

Since the boot mode on the 13th generation PowerEdge server is UEFI, the conventional RAID BIOS (CTRL+R) cannot be used. Follow the instructions to Configure the RAID Virtual Disk and then Verify or Change the RAID Configuration.
Configure the RAID Virtual Disk
Press the F2 key during POST to launch the System Setup Menu. Alternatively, press the F10 key during POST and then select System Setup, then Hardware Settings from the LifeCycle Controller menu.
Click Device Settings on the System Setup screen.
Select the RAID controller to be configured on the Device Settings screen.
Click Configuration Management on the Main Menu.
Click Create Virtual Disk on the Configuration Management screen.
From the Create Virtual Disk screen, select options from Select RAID Level and Select Physical Disks From depending on the configuration that you want to create.
Click Select Physical Disk.
Select the hard drive type, slot number, and the number of disks to be used. Once these are selected, click Apply Changes.
Note: If Free Capacity was selected in Step 6, select the disk group that uses the free space and then click Apply Changes.
Click OK on the success screen.
Enter or select the virtual disk name, disk size, and other options, and then click Create Virtual Disk.
Read the warning message, select Confirm, and then click Yes.
Click OK on the success screen.
Verify or Change the RAID Configuration
Click Virtual Disk Management on the Main Menu.
Verify the virtual disk summary such as name, size, and status. To verify or change each virtual disk configuration, click any virtual disk.
Verify each item. The name can be changed on this screen. To verify or change configuration details, click Advanced.
Some of the items can be changed on this screen. Click Apply Changes after changing items.
