Some people have reported that there is no sound coming from the internal speakers of the Alienware Area 51m system. During the ePSA diagnostics no sound is heard from the internal speakers either.
Keeping your system updated with the latest drivers and firmware would resolve this issue. Alternatively update the BIOS to the most recent revision available on the Dell Support site.
Update the BIOS to the latest revision:
Go to the Dell Support Site
Enter the service tag or express service code to get drivers specific to how the system shipped
Alternatively you can choose the Alienware Area 51m from the product list to get a general list of drivers for that system
Click on the Drivers and Downloads drawer in the menu
Ensure you have the correct operating system set
Select BIOS from the category dropdown
Locate the System BIOS version 1.5.0 or newer
Click on the download link and follow the online instructions
