Symptoms

Precision 5810 and 5820 Towers intermittently fail with 0X000000D1 STOP error against the iaStorB.sys driver. The reports states that the tower intermittently stops responding and displays the following on-screen error message:

The iaStorB.sys driver is causing a 0X000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error.

Updating to the latest version of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) Enterprise Driver available from the support site resolves the problem. To download and install the latest updated version, follow these instructions:
