What is Alexa for PC?

Alexa for PC allows you to access many features of the Amazon Echo line of products. Using the integrated microphone of your supported Dell device, Alexa for PC responds to your voice commands. Alexa lets you listen to music, play audiobooks, set reminders and alarms, shop online, and more.

Note: Alexa for PC is only supported in the United States, and supports the English language only.

How to set up Alexa for PC

To set up Alexa for PC for the first time on your Dell device, follow these steps:

Note: Ensure that your computer has an active Internet connection.
  1. Click Start, and then select Amazon Alexa.
  2. Select Set up Amazon Alexa.
  3. Select Continue to accept Amazon's Terms and Conditions.
  4. Check the settings that you want for Alexa on the PC, and then click Finish setup.
  5. Enter your Amazon account details and select Sign-in. If you do not have an Amazon account, select Create a new Amazon account and follow the instructions that are provided.

Alexa for PC is now ready to use. To invoke Alexa, say the word Alexa, along with a command.
