The purpose of this article is to clear up the confusion in the terminology Dell and Ruckus use to describe the licensing/entitlement for Ruckus software.

 

Explanation


Dell sells a license for a VA or an application as does Ruckus.

However, Ruckus Sales and Ruckus Support often refer to this as Right to Use or RTU license. This is NOT a separate license that a customer needs to purchase (it does not exist).  The VA/application SKU that the Dell customer was sold is the entitlement license.

The entitlement license provides the Dell customer the RTU (Right to Use). Nothing else is needed.
