Battery Drains When Running Heavy Loading Applications

Some Gaming Laptops are designed to support Hybrid Power Mode which takes advantage of using a smaller, lightweight Adapter.

Cause

When the computer's power requirement is more than the capacity of the AC adapter, the computer starts consuming the battery power without sacrificing performance. With this design, you may encounter a Battery Drain situation when the computer is running certain Applications such as 3D games which may put both Discrete Graphics and Processors in heavy loading status.

Resolution

This is working as designed as this computer has the Hybrid Power Mode as standard.
