Windows 10, 8/8.1 en 7* hebben geen eigen dvd-/Blu-Ray-afspeelfunctionaliteit. De Windows DVD Player-app (geen Blu-ray-ondersteuning) of een externe app moet worden gebruikt om dvd-/Blu-ray-films af te spelen.
*: Als u Windows 7 Home Basic of Windows 7 Starter gebruikt, kunt u een upgrade uitvoeren naar Windows 7 Home Premium, Ultimate of Enterprise om volledige DVD-functionaliteit toe te voegen of een compatibele DVD Movie Player-app te kopen en te installeren.

Dell kan specifieke software niet officieel aanbevelen, maar dit zijn enkele van de meest gebruikte apps voor het afspelen van dvd/Blu-Ray.
