Symptoms

When Dell PowerStore encounters a problem, an error alert is generated to help identify the issue. This article explains the different possible causes and the relevant solutions for these error alerts. Alert ID XMS_SSD_ENDURANCE_REMAINING_LIMITED
Alert Text Wear level (endurance) of the drive in bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) is low. The remaining wear level for this drive is %(percent_endurance_remaining).
Error Code 0x00306C02
Cause This alert is raised when the drive's remaining endurance is at or below 5%. Drive continues to function as designed.
Resolution No immediate user action is needed, but drive replacement will be needed soon. Contact technical support for further assistance.
 
 
Alert ID XMS_SSD_ENDURANCE_REMAINING_VERY_LIMITED
Alert Text Wear level (endurance) of the drive in bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) is very low and has reached a critical level. The remaining wear level for this drive is %(percent_endurance_remaining).
Error Code 0x00306C03
Cause This alert is raised when the drive's remaining endurance is at or below 2%. Drive continues to function as designed.
Resolution No immediate user action is needed, but drive replacement will be needed soon. Contact technical support for further assistance.

Alert Text Drive endurance level for bus %(bus_num) enclosure %(encl_num) slot %(enclosure_slot) is exhausted. The remaining wear level for this drive is %(percent_endurance_remaining).
Error Code 0x00306C04
Cause This alert is raised when the drive's remaining endurance has reached its reported limit. The drive may continue to function as designed. 
Resolution Drive should be replaced before I/O Errors and/or drive failure occurs. Contact technical support for further assistance.
