The Dell InfinityEdge borderless monitors may appear to have backlight bleeding or shadows/blurred edges. This article provides more information on this and guidance to mitigate this on your monitor.
The Dell InfinityEdge borderless monitors may appear to have backlight bleeding or blurred shadows around the edges (Figure 1 and Figure 2). The following S2719DM, S2419HM, U2417H, U2717D, U2717H, U2419H, U2518D, S2718D models may be affected, as well as other Dell monitors with the InfinityEdge design. This can occur due to the borderless design of these Dell displays and is working as designed as these are borderless monitors.
The blurred edges should only be visible when there is no task bar at the bottom of the LCD panel. During standard usage, you should not experience the blurred edges or shadows.
