Windows Services

Windows Services is an application in Windows that allows you to manage the processes that run in the background of Windows. These services can be automatically started when the system boots up, is paused, or restarted.

Open Windows Services

The following methods can be used to open the Windows Services User Interface (UI).

Start Menu

  1. Click the Windows icon in the lower left corner.
  2. Type Services and press the Enter key.

You should see the following:

Run Box

  1. Press the Windows and R keys simultaneously.
  2. Type: Services
  3. Click OK or press the Enter key.

Command Prompt

  1. Click the Windows icon in the lower left corner.
  2. Type: Command Prompt
  3. In the Command Prompt window, type Services.msc and press the Enter key.
