How to Manage OS Image Policies in Wyse Management Suite

Managing OS Image Policies in Wyse Management Suite is how an administrator maintains a consistent version of an operating system in the environment.

An administrator may Add Policy, Edit Policy, or Delete Policy in Wyse Management Suite. Click the appropriate step for more information.

  1. Sign in to Wyse Management Suite.

  2. Click Apps & Data.

  3. Under OS Image Policies, click WES/ThinLinux.

  4. Click Add Policy.

    Note: This requires that an image is uploaded to the OS Image Repository. For more information, reference How to Place Images in the OS Image Repository of Wyse Management Suite.
  5. From the Add WES/ThinLinux Policy menu:
    1. Populate the Policy Name.
    2. Select a Group.
    3. Select an OS Type.
    4. Select an OS Subtype Filter.
    5. Optionally, select a Platform Filter.
    6. Select an OS Image.
    7. Select a Rule.
    8. Select how to Apply Policy Automatically.
    9. If Apply Policy Automatically is set to Apply the policy to devices on check in, select Max retries.
    10. Click Save.

  1. Sign In to Wyse Management Suite.

  2. Click Apps & Data.

  3. Under OS Image Policies, click WES/ThinLinux.

  4. Select a policy checkbox.

  5. Click Edit Policy.

  6. Change the appropriate settings and then click Save.
