Following the steps below will help you to resolve charging issues on your Dell Venue Pro tablet.
Make sure to use the original USB cord and AC adapter that came with your Dell Venue Pro tablet.
Note:
The power adapter that comes with the Venue Pro 11 models provides 23 watts of power to charge and run your Venue Pro 11 tablet.
Third party USB cords and AC adapters may not provide the needed amount of electricity to charge or run the tablet. It has been reported that the battery level may actually go down while using the tablet.
Check for any damage or loose connection on the charging port of the tablet.
Note: To find where the charging port is, see the the Quick Start Guide for your Tablet. For more information on how to download and view manuals, see the Dell Knowledge Base article: Manuals and Documentation for your Dell Product
Connect the charger to the wall socket directly instead of a surge protector while charging.
Try with an alternate, known-good Dell Venue Pro USB cable and AC adapter of the same wattage (if available).
When the tablet still has power, update the BIOS to the latest revision from Dell Support.
