Other platforms using Intel board chipset.
2. Description
OS9 switches with Intel boards may not show correct time even after configuring Timezone and Daylight Savings Time (DST).
3. Root Cause
OS9 switches read the hardware clock which is in the format of UTC Date and Time. The commands to set timezone* and DST information* only modify the offset of the UTC time. They do not update the hardware clock date and time settings. The hardware clock is only modified in the BIOS.

Short Term
1. Obtain serial console access.
2. Reboot the switch.
3. During boot when prompted press F2 or DEL to enter the BIOS.
4. The first page of the bios will have the Date and Time.
5. Modify the Date and the Time to be the current UTC time NOT local time.
Web resources for UTC time:
6. Change Bios page to the Save page using left and right arrows.
7. Save changes and exit.
Long Term
Use an NTP time source* to sync time. Hardware clocks are only accurate to a point over time they drift. NTP time will allow correction for the drifting of time and provide an accurate time for longer periods.
