  1. The best way to remove the cable from the computer is by pushing downward on RJ45 port while pressing the release tab.

Warning: Pulling upward on RJ45 port while pressing the release tab makes Ethernet cable difficult to remove; cable feels like it is getting caught and sometimes feels stuck, so more force is required to remove. Using more force can damage the RJ45 port.
