XtremIO: The maximum number of volumes value is shown as "60000" in XIOS 6.3.0-62, but release notes specify "32000"

This article applies to   This article does not apply to

Instructions

Cause:  When performing a RestAPI call, the response given "max-volumes" shows 60000, which does not match the published limitation/supported number shown in the XtremIO Release Notes (32000).

Example on XIOS 6.3.0-62_X2:

curl -k https://admin:Xtrem10@(XMS IP address)/api/json/v3/types/clusters/1 | grep -e "sys-sw-version" -e "max-volumes"
"sys-sw-version": "6.3.0-62_X2",
"max-volumes": 60000, <<<<<<<<<<<<

Resolution: The number 32000 is what has been QA certified.

In this case, the number of 60000 is not a software issue of a sort, but actually an untested one. Therefore, we DO NOT recommend exceeding the 32000 volumes limit stated in the release notes. The Release Notes limit is the authoritative, supported amount of volumes that can be on a cluster.
