Instructions
A device driver or software driver is a computer program allowing higher-level computer programs to interact with a hardware device. For the OptiPlex 5400 All-In-One, all the driver's installation in a similar manner except that some computers may have more devices than another.
After a clean installation of the Microsoft® Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems, you must install the following drivers and software packages:

Note: The driver's installation for Windows 11 and Windows 10 are mostly identical. (Most of the device drivers are preinstalled during the Windows 11 and Windows 10 installation process.) For best results, we recommend installing the Intel Chipset driver utility first.
After a fresh copy of windows is installed, always install the chipset driver utility first. After that, you can install the rest of the devices' drivers in any sequence. However, we would recommend you follow the convention below.

Note: The driver list is based from driver installation from the Dell Support Site on a basic OptiPlex 5400 All-In-One computer without any additional optional cards fitted. Generally, Windows has comprehensive support for many items. The following Dell™ - branded drivers and software must be installed for proper operation if the operating system has been removed and reinstalled:
Check if the driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest chipset update from the Support Site.

Check if the driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update.
Chipset > Genesys Memory Card Reader Driver
Check if the driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update.
Chipset > Intel Innovation Platform Framework Driver
Check if the driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update.
Chipset > Intel Chipset Device Software
Check if the driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update.
Chipset > Realtek Memory Card Reader Driver
Check if the Rapid Storage Driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update.
Storage > Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Application
Check if the video driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update from the Support Site.
Video > Intel UHD Graphics Driver
Check if the audio driver is installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver update from the Support Site.
Audio > Realtek High Definition Audio Driver
Check if the Ethernet drivers are installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver updates from the Support Site.
Network > Ethernet Controller Driver
Check if the Wireless and Bluetooth card drivers are installed by looking at Device Manager. If you cannot see it, then Install the latest driver updates from the Support Site.
