CloudIQ is a no-cost, cloud-based application that leverages Machine Learning to proactively monitor and measure the overall health of Dell EMC infrastructure and Connectrix switches through intelligent, comprehensive and predictive analytics. This article steps through the requirements to enable CloudIQ on Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Manager systems.
Prerequisites
Valid Dell ProSupport Credential Connectivity to Secure Remote Services Gateway Supported Release: PowerProtect Data Manager 19.0 or higher
Onboarding
Configure Secure Remote Services
Log in to PowerProtect Data Manager with administrator privileges and navigate to the Support menu entry under the Systems Settings menu. If Secure Remote Services is not configured, supply the Secure Remote Services Hostname, User Name, and Password.
Navigate to the AutoSupport section of the Support Dialog. Enable AutoSupport via Secure Remote Services to enable CloudIQ data collections and select Save.
The following shows a system successfully enabled for CloudIQ data collection in PowerProtect Data Manager.
Disabling CloudIQ Data Collections
Log in to PowerProtect Data Manager with administrator privileges and navigate to the Support menu entry under the System Settings menu. Select the AutoSupport section of the Support settings dialog. Disable AutoSupport and select Save.
Accessing CloudIQ Portal
CloudIQ can be accessed by navigating directly to the following URL in a web browser: https://cloudiq.dell.com. Log into CloudIQ using your Dell Pro Support credentials.
When a new user logs into CloudIQ, they will step through the following onboarding screens:
Upon logging in to CloudIQ, the user will see all the systems that are successfully sending data to CloudIQ. In situations where the user has not successfully configured any systems to send data to CloudIQ, they are directed to the Connectivity page in the CloudIQ UI where they will see their CloudIQ compatible systems.
