The NetWorker VMware Protection integration is configured with the vProxy Appliance.  The vProxy needs to be un-registered and re-registered against the NetWorker Server.
  1. On the NetWorker server, open a Administrator/root command prompt
  2. Enter: nsradmin
  3. Enter: option hidden
  4. Enter: visual
  5. This opens a CLI utility that can be used to make changes to the nsrdb. You can use ESC, arrow keys, and ENTER to navigate and make changes.
Navigate to Select and hit Enter, use the arrow keys to highlight NSR VMware Proxy and hit Enter.

  1. Use the Next/Prev options to select the vProxy host you need to unregister.
  2. Use the arrow keys to select Edit and hit Enter.
  3. Use the arrow keys to select Unregister and hit Enter, hit ESC and save changes.

  1. Wait 30-60 seconds.
  2. Use the arrow keys to select Register and hit Enter, hit ESC and save changes.
The NMC should report that the vProxy has been unregistered/registered:

Additional Information

If vProxy will not register, check to see if the admin user account is locked on the vProxy: pam_tally2 --user=admin
NOTE: If the admin account is locked you will not be able to connect using SSH, typically the root account is blocked over SSH; however, you can connect to the vProxy VM through vSphere web console and log in directly as root.
If there are several failed login attempts, reset the account with: pam_tally2 --user=admin --reset
The admin account password can be updated with the following command: passwd admin
Update the admin password in the vProxy properties in the NMC.
Initiate the registration from nsradmin.
