Cause

It is a journal warning message comes from 'systemd' which is a suite of basic building blocks used for lots of Linux OS. During Ubuntu OS shutdown, when X-server and 'Ubuntu Desktop' quits, the backend system logs are printed for a few seconds before system shutdown. Some of the system logs are also printed while the Ubuntu system is booting. These printed systems can be considered expected.

Resolution

Wait for 1 or 2 seconds. Rebooting and shutting down completes successfully.
