Instructions

.CAB is a Microsoft file format that has a size limitation of maximum 2 GB. With the payloads that are huge in size, driver pack cabinet files are unable to carry all required drivers for a Dell model. To address this issue, all Dell Command Deploy Driver Packs have been made in the form Dell Update Package (DUP).

Driver Pack use cases with operating system deployment tools like SCCM and MDT remains unchanged. Upgrading downstream tools are required as detailed below:
  • For Advanced Driver restore using Dell Command Update:
Supported version: DCU 4.4.0 and above

  • Driver Pack Import to SCCM console using Dell Command | Integration Suite for System Center:

  • To extract Driver Pack DUP programmatically, use below commands:
