Instructions

To determine which wireless adapter is installed in your computer, see the section that matches the Operating System on your computer and follow the instructions.

  1. In the Search box, type change wi-fi settings.
  2. Touch or click Change Wi-Fi settings (System settings).
  3. Touch or click Hardware properties.
  4. Look at the Manufacture: listing to see the brand of the wireless adapter installed in your computer.
    NOTE: Make note of the Manufacture and Description. The description is how the wireless adapter is listed in Device Manager.
  1. Press and hold the Windows (SLN129650_en_US__2iC_Windows_Key_BD_v4) key, and then press the q key.
  2. In the Search box type settings.
  3. Touch or click PC settings.
  4. Touch or click Control Panel (located in the lower-left corner).
  5. In the search box (located in the upper-right corner), type adapter.
  6. Under Networking and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
  7. All the network adapters that are installed on your laptop are listed.
  8. Look at the Wi-Fi adapter listed.
  9. Hover your cursor over the listing to see the brand and model number of the wireless adapter that is installed in your computer.

  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. In the search box (upper-right corner), type adapter.
  4. Under Networking and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
  5. All the network adapters that are installed in your laptop are listed.
  6. Look at the Wireless Network Connection adapter listed.
  7. Hover your cursor over the listing to see the brand and model number of the wireless adapter that is installed in your computer.

  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Network Connections.
  4. All the network adapters that are installed in your laptop are listed.
  5. Look at the Wireless Network Connection adapter listed.
  6. Hover your cursor over the listing to see the brand and model number of the wireless adapter that is installed in your computer.
