Windows

  1. Right-click the Windows start menu, and then click Run.

Run

  1. In the Run UI, type cmd, and then press OK.

  1. In Command Prompt, type "C:\Program Files\CrowdStrike\CSSensorSettings.exe" –version and then press Enter.

Getting the version

  1. Record the Version. In the example, 7.04.17605.0 is the Version.

Mac

  1. Locate and then double-click Terminal.

Terminal

  1. In Terminal, type sysctl cs.version and then press Enter.

Checking the CrowdStrike sensor version

  1. Record the version. In the example, the version is 4.18.8013.0.

Linux

  1. On the targeted endpoint, open Terminal.

  1. In Terminal, type sudo /opt/CrowdStrike/falconctl -g --version and then press Enter.

Getting the CrowdStrike version

  1. Populate the sudo account Password and then press Enter.
  2. Record the version. In the example, 4.20.6602.0 is the version.
