You may experience an issue with the laptop shutting off when the lid is closed, even though the power management settings are set for the system to do nothing. This issue has been seen on the Latitude 7370 laptop with Windows 10 Pro installed but may also be present on other laptops using the Windows hibernate feature.

A corruption in the Windows hibernate feature may be the cause of this issue. To resolve, use the powercfg command-line utility to switch the hibernation settings following the steps below:

1. Type CMD in the search box to open the Command Prompt.
2. Choose to Run as Administrator.
3. Type powercfg -h off and press Enter. This disables the hibernation feature.
4. Type powercfg -h on and press Enter. This re-enables the hibernation feature.
5. Test the system by closing the lid to ensure that the power management settings behave as they are configured.
