How to access the hardware configuration on the Dell website

You can access the hardware configuration of your Dell computer on the Dell website. To do so, follow these simple steps:

  • Open up your browser and browse Dell Support.
  • Enter your Service Tag, click Search.
  • On the Overview page, click the View product specs.

View Product Specs
Your current configuration is shown on this page. This data is refreshed every time Dell System Detect is used (for example if you let your Service Tag auto-detect on the Dell website).

Note: You can also see the current-installed BIOS Version including the BIOS Version Date on this page.

Click the Original configuration tab to show the configuration the computer was ordered with. There you can also find detailed information about the hardware components like part number, quantity, and description.

Note: In the Components category, you can use the Export to CSV button to download a CSV file including all components and details to your hard drive.
