Description

One QSFP28-DD port, port-49 in some S5248F switch units may experience insertion stop issues when AOC cable or QSFP+/QSFP28 optical module is used. Such an issue has been determined to be caused by a combination of the module end that comes with a sharp edge at the top protruding piece of the module backshell. The edge is not chamfered to round off the edge. See the diagrams with proper chamfer (red circle in the first diagram) vs without chamfer in the red circle of the second transceiver diagram below. It shows the top port-49 cage heatsink exerting a downward force on the module during insertion.
