Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools that are not available to our onsite engineers.

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Cover:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Loosen the two (2) captive screws on the back of the computer [1]. Push the top cover towards the rear of the chassis and lift it up and off the computer [2].

Base 01

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Front Bezel:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Cover.

  2. Pry up the three (3) retention clips along the top of the bezel [1].

  1. Rotate the bezel on the hooks at the bottom of the bezel [2] and pull it off the front of the computer [3].

  1. Push the blue release table at the rear of the assembly. Lift towards the front of the computer and lift the assembly out of the computer [3].

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Optical Disc Drive (ODD, DVD, CD RW.):

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Cover, Front Bezel, hard drive Assembly.

  2. Unroute the ODD cables [1] and hard drive cables [2] from the retention clip and HDD-ODD release tab on the right-hand side of the Drive Cage.

ODD 01

  1. Push the blue slide towards the rear of the computer [1] to unlock the Drive Cage. Rotate the cage up over the right-hand side of the chassis [2].

ODD 02

  1. Disconnect the ODD power and data cables [1,2] from the back of the ODD and slide and lift the drive cage out of the computer [3].

ODD 03

  1. Squeeze the blue release tab at the back of the ODD together [1]. Push the latch towards the front of the drive cage [2] and pull the ODD away from the drive cage [3].

ODD 04

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the M.2 SSD Card:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Cover, Front Bezel, and Drive Cage.

  2. The M.2 is located under the drive cage, remove the screw holding the card down [1].

SSD 01

  1. Lift the card out of the connector and computer [2] and remove the thermal pad from underneath the card [3].

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Heatsink Blower Fan:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Cover, Front Bezel, and Drive Cage.

  2. Disconnect the fan cable at the motherboard [1] and remove the three (3) screws holding the blower to the heat-sink [2].

Fan 01

  1. Lift the heat-sink fan away from the computer [3].

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Memory:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, and Drive Cage.

  2. The memory is located between the heat-sink and front of the computer, pull the tabs on either side of the Dual inline memory module (DIMM) apart [1].

Memory 01

  1. When the memory appears, lift it up and out of the computer [2].

Note: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for however many additional memory modules are in the computer.

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Internal Speakers:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Cover, Front Bezel, and Drive Cage.

  2. The speaker is located in front of the PSU. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard [1].

Speaker 01

  1. Press the release tab on top of the speaker assembly [2] and push the assembly down and out of the chassis [3].

 

  1. Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Power Supply Unit (PSU):

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the Cover, Front Bezel, and Drive Cage.

  2. Disconnect the Square power connector from the rear right corner of the chassis [1] and unroute the cable from around the chassis [2].

PSU 01

  1. Remove the three (3) screws securing the PSU from the rear of the computer [1]. Disconnect the power connector from the motherboard in front of the memory [2] and lift the power cables away from the chassis [3].

PSU 01

  1. Press the blue release tab in front of the PSU [4]. Push the PSU towards the front of the computer and lift it out of the chassis [5].
