SLN313487_en_US__1icon Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools, that are not available to our onsite engineers.

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Cover:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Remove the single thumbscrew that secures the cover to the back of the chassis.

  1. Pull the cover towards the front of the system until it unclips and then lift it up and away from the chassis.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Assembly:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover.

  2. Press the blue tabs on either side of the assembly towards each other [1]. Push the assembly towards the back of the system [2] until it unlocks and lift it out of the system.

  1. Pull one side of the assembly away from the drive to disengage the securing pins [1] and lift the drive out of the assembly [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the M.2 PCIe SSD card:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and HDD Assembly.

  2. Remove the single screw which secures the SSD card [1] to the motherboard. Lift the card up and remove the card from the slot [2] on the motherboard.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Fan:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover.

  2. Press the blue tabs on either side of the fan towards each other [1]. Lift the edge in the middle of the system up [2] so you can lift it up.

  1. Turn the fan bracket over so you can disconnect the fan cable from the motherboard.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Memory:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and System Fan.

  2. Pull the metal clips on either side of the memory module away from the module [1]. When the memory pops up, pull it out of the slot [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Serial and PS I/O Board:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and HDD Assembly.

  2. Disconnect the card cable from the motherboard [1] and remove the four (4) screws which secure the board to the chassis {2, 3,].

  1. Pull the card back from the front of the chassis and lift it up and out of the system.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Coin Cell Battery:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and option card.

  2. Press down on the release latch until the coin cell pops out [1] and remove the coin cell battery from the system.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Internal Speakers:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and System Fan.

  2. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard [1] and system fan retention clips. Unscrew to two (2) screws that secure the speaker from the system fan assembly [2] and remove the speaker [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the wireless network card:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and HDD Assembly.

  2. Remove the single screw which secures the plastic tab to the card [1]. Take off the plastic clip [2] and disconnect the antenna cables from the card [3]. Then remove the card from the slot on the motherboard [4].
