Microsoft Surface Pro 4 沒有內建電源 LED，這可能會在電池耗盡時嘗試開啟平板電腦電源時造成混淆。如果平板電腦有足夠的電量，它可能會在螢幕上閃爍“Surface”徽標，然後變黑。
