The Dell Server E-Support Tool (DSET) enables you to generate a full report about the configuration of the system and its logs, including the Server System Event Log (SEL) and PowerEdge RAID Controller Log (PERC).
Copy the file to the /tmp folder on the server.
Open the console and go to the /tmpfolder by typing
cd /tmp
Make delldset_2.2.125_x64_A01.bin executable by typing
chmod 700 delldset_2.2.125_x64_A01.bin
Start the tool by typing ./delldset_2.2.125_x64_A01.bin

Now the Dell Software License Agreement is displayed on the screen. Press "q" to continue.
Accept the terms by pressing "y".
Now the DSET options are displayed on the screen. Select Create DSET Report Only by pressing "2".

You can now enter your company name, but this is optional. Continue by pressing "Enter".
The report options can be configured in the next steps.
You can choose from "y" for Yes or "n" for No and must confirm by pressing Enter.
To ensure that all relevant information is collected, respond as follows:

After confirming the last option with "Enter", the information collection begins.

After up to 20 minutes, the resulting zip file is stored in the /tmp folder. The operating system name is:
DSET-Report_for_[SERVERNAME-SERVICE TAG--]-on-MM-DD-YYYY
After this is complete, you can delete delldset_2.2.125_x64_A01.bin from the server or keep it for later use.
