  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Main Access Panel:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Loosen the eight (8) captive screws that secure the cover to the chassis [1].

  1. Use a plastic scribe or some other probe that will not damage the plastics to [2] to pry up the base cover. Starting from the top-left corner, then pry along the edges between the cover and the chassis to separate the cover from the computer [3].
