SLN313510_en_US__1icon Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools, that are not available to our onsite engineers.

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Cover:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Loosen the two (2) captive screws that secure the cover to the chassis [1]. Now pull the lid towards the rear of the PC and lift it up and off of the system [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Front Bezel:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover.

  2. Pry up the retention clips along the top edge of the bezel. Rotate the bezel down towards the desk to release the bezel hooks at the bottom edge.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Assembly:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover.

  2. Disconnect the data and power cable from the back of the HDD [1, 2,]. Push the release tab and lift the HDD from the assembly [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Drive and Optical Drive Assembly Removal:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, and HDD.

  2. Unroute the ODD and HDD cables from the retention clip and the ODD/HDD release table [1, 2,].

  1. Slide the ODD/HDD release catch towards the rear of the system [1] to unlock the module and lift the module up from the system [2].

  1. Disconnect the ODD cables from the Optical drive [1, 2,] and finish lifting the module out of the system [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Optical Disc Drive (ODD):

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel.

  2. Follow steps 2, 3 and 4 from the ODD/HDD Module guide, but do not remove the module from the system.

  3. Squeeze and push the blue release latch on the back of the ODD [1, 2,]. Pull the Optical Disc Drive out the front of the chassis [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the M.2 PCIe SSD Card:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, HDD Assembly, and ODD/HDD Module.

  2. Undo the single screw securing the card to the motherboard [1]. Then lift the card up and pull it out of the connector [2] and then remove the SSD's thermal pad [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Memory:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, HDD Assembly, and ODD/HDD Module.

  2. Pull the plastic tabs on either side of the memory module away from each other [1]. Remove the module as it lifts up from it is connector on the motherboard [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Coin Cell Battery:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover.

  2. Using a plastic scribe press down on the release latch until the battery pops up [1] and then remove the battery from the system [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Heatsink Fan:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, HDD Assembly, and ODD/HDD Module.

  2. Remove the heat sink ducting.

  3. Disconnect the heat sink fan cable from the motherboard [1]. Loosen the four (4) captive screws that secure the heatsink assembly to the heat sink [2]. Lift the heatsink assembly up and away from the system [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Expansion Card:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover.

  2. Pull the metal tab on the rear of the chassis up and rotate it over the back of the chassis [1]. Press the release tab on the back of the expansion card [2]. Disconnect and lift the card up and away from the connector on the motherboard [3].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Power Supply Unit (PSU):

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, HDD Assembly, ODD/HDD Module, and Heatsink Fan.

  2. Disconnect the power cables from the motherboard and devices [1] and unroute the power cables from the retention clips on the chassis [2].

  1. Remove the three (3) screws securing the back of the PSU to the chassis [1], lift the power cables away from the system [3]. Press the blue release tab [4] and push the PSU towards the front of the system [5] and lift the PSU out of the system.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Internal Speakers:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, Front Bezel, HDD Assembly, ODD/HDD Module, Heatsink Fan, and PSU.

  2. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard [1] and press the release tab down [2] and pull the speaker away from the chassis [3].
