The Look Away Detect setting protects your data and saves power by dimming the screen when you are not engaged with the computer. When you turn your face away from the screen for more than 6 seconds, the computer screen dims to 0%. The screen will immediately brighten once it detects your face again.
The Wake on Approach setting enables quicker sign-in by automatically turning on the display when detecting your presence.
If the Windows Hello feature is enabled, the camera recognizes your face and automatically unlocks the computer. If Windows Hello is not enabled, your password is required to unlock the computer.
The Walk Away Lock setting turns off the display and automatically locks the computer when you walk away for more than 60 seconds.
