You may experience an issue while using the touchpad on your Inspiron 5570 or 5770 laptops.
When you move your finger across the touchpad quickly, while the AC adapter is connected - the cursor may become sluggish or even freeze.
However, the touchpad works fine when moving your finger slowly or you have disconnected the AC adapter.
To help resolve this issue, download and install the latest Alps click pad Firmware.
If the Alps Click Pad Firmware update is not listed when you use your Service Tag, follow these steps to find it:
Go to the Dell Support website
Enter your systems Service Tag or Express Service Code reference
Click the Drivers & Downloads drawer in the menu
Ensure you have the correct operating system set
Select the Mouse, Keyboard & Input Devices drop-down category
