AppSync: Cluster Mount of Datastore to ESX hosts fails using Dell SC array

Mounting a VMware Datstore to an ESX cluster with Dell SC as back-end storage fails with following errors displayed in AppSync Events log:

Cause
Although cluster mount is enabled, when using Dell SC the datastore is only made accessible to one ESX host in the cluster. AppSync carries out 2 rescan and refresh operations on the remaining ESX hosts looking for the datastore which is supposed to be mounted. Once these fail to find the datastore, the service plan fails.
Resolution
There is a hotfix for AppSync version 3.8.0.0.
Intervention by Dell/EMC Support is required to obtain the hotfix.
Note this Article when calling in a service request to Support.
The issue is due to be resolved in 3.8.0.X release and versions following.
