The Configuration Utility is a storage management application embedded on the PowerEdge RAID Controller cards (PERC). It allows to configure and maintain the RAID disk groups and virtual disks. This is independent of the operating system. To access the PERC BIOS menu, a keyboard shortcut has to be pressed during server startup.
To access the Configuration Utility for PERC Series 7, 8, 9:
- In BIOS mode: press Ctrl+R during startup.
- In UEFI mode press F2 to enter System Setup. Click on System Setup Main Menu screen and then click on Device Settings
To access the Configuration Utility for PERC Series 10 and 11:
- In UEFI mode press F2 to enter System Setup. Click on System Setup Main Menu screen and then click on Device Settings
