How to Identify the Netskope Client Version

This article provides the steps to locate and identify the Netskope Client version.

Windows

The Windows Netskope Client version can be identified by:

  • User interface (UI)
  • Command Line (CLI)
  • Installer

Click on the appropriate method for more information.

To identify the version by UI:

  1. Log in to the Windows computer.
  2. In the Windows System Tray, right-click the Netskope Client icon and then select About.

  1. Record the Version. In the example, 66.0.0.327 is the Version.

To identify the version by CLI:

  1. As an administrator, right-click the Windows start menu and then click Run.

  1. In the Run UI, type cmd and then press Enter.

  1. In Command Prompt, type wmic product where name=’Netskope Client’ get version and then press Enter.

  1. Record the Version. In the example, 70.0.0.391 is the product version.

  1. Type exit and then press Enter.

To identify the version by Installer:

  1. Right-click NSClient[TENANTSPECIFICINFO].msi and select Properties.

  1. Click the Details tab.

  1. The version is located within Subject. Record the version. In the example, 69.2.0.373 is the Version.

Mac

The Mac Netskope Client version can be identified by:

  • User interface (UI)
  • Terminal

Click on the appropriate method for more information.

To identify the version by UI:

  1. Log in to the Mac computer.
  2. In the menu bar, select the Netskope Client icon and then select About.

  1. Record the Version. In the example, 70.0.0.391 is the Version.

To identify the version by Terminal:

  1. From the Apple menu, click Go and then select Utilities.

  1. In the Utilities menu, double-click Terminal.

  1. In Terminal, type defaults read /Library/Application\ Support/Netskope/STAgent/Netskope\ Client.app/Contents/Info.plist CFBundleShortVersionString and then press Enter.

  1. Type exit and then press Enter.

Android

The Android Netskope Client version can be identified by User interface (UI). Click on the appropriate method for more information.

To identify the version for Android:

  1. Select the Netskope Client application.

  1. Locate App info and then record the Version. In the example, 70.0.0.391 is the Version.
