How to Find the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) Number in Windows

Computers that are equipped with Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) capability have an IMEI number that is assigned to the wireless device. This information is required when activating the computer with your WWAN carrier.

Where Do You Find the IMEI Number in Windows 10 and 11

To find your IMEI number in Windows 10 or 11, complete the following steps:

1. Press the Windows Key on your keyboard. You can also click or tap the Windows Button (lower left corner).
2. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular > Advanced Options.
3. The IMEI number is listed in the Connection Properties.

Where Do You Find the IMEI Number in Windows 8.x

To find your IMEI number in Windows 8.x, complete the following steps:

1. Press Windows logo Key + C or swipe in from the right side to activate the Charms Bar.
2. Click or tap Settings, click, or tap Change PC Settings (bottom of the bar).
3. Click or tap Network.
4. Select your WWAN provider (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, so forth) and the IMEI number is listed in the connection properties.
