Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Cover:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Looking at the rear of your PC, loosen the thumbscrew securing the panel to the right-hand side of the chassis. Press it down to unlock the right-hand side access panel.
Grip the tab at the back of the access panel and pull away from the rear of the PC. Lift the access panel away when the securing lugs are released.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Front Bezel:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
Looking at the left-hand side edge of the front bezel, release the three (3) retention tabs securing the bezel to the chassis.
Swing the bezel to the right where the hooks secure the bezel down the right-hand side.
Remove the bezel from the hinge slots.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD):
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel.
This system can fit one (1) 3½" HDD on the back of the chassis at the front of the system. Disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the drive.
Loosen the four (4) thumbscrews that secure the HDD to the chassis.
Lift the drive up until the thumbscrews fit through the chassis and lift the drive out of the PC.
This system can fit two (2) 2½" HDDs in a blue bracket the top left-hand side corner of the system. Disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the drive and push the blue tabs towards the center of the drive.
Lift the drive bracket out the side of the PC.
Pop the two securing grommets on one side of the blue bracket away from the drive, the drive then should pull loose of the other side.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Solid State Drive (SSD):
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The M.2 2230 PCIe SSD:
You can find the slot for the M.2 in the center of the motherboard. Remove the single screw securing the card to the motherboard.
The end of the card lifts up, grip it and pull it out of the connector and the system.
The M.2 2280 PCIe SSD:
You can find the slot for the M.2 in the center of the motherboard. Remove the single screw securing the card to the motherboard.
The end of the card lifts up, grip it and pull it out of the connector and the system.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Optical Disc Drive (ODD):
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The optical disc drive is located at the top of the system. Remove the power and data cables from the rear of the drive.
Pull the blue metal tab at the rear of the drive and push the drive out the front of the system.
Grip the drive and pull it the rest of the way out of the system.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Fan Duct Assembly:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The fan duct is fitted between the rear of the chassis and the heatsink. Press the blue tabs towards each other.
Pull the duct out of the chassis.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Expansion Cards:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The expansion card slots are located above the PSU in the bottom left-hand corner of the system. Flip the metal securing tab towards the rear of the PC.
Check if the card is locked into the slot on the motherboard, if so pull the release tab while pulling straight out with card.
It should pull straight out of the chassis. This leaves you with a gap in the back of your system that you need to fit a blank to.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Memory:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The Memory slots are located between the front of the system and the heatsink. Press the securing clips on either side of the DIMM away from the DIMM to see it lift up out of the slot.
Pull the Memory DIMM out of the slot and the chassis.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Coin Cell Battery:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The coin cell Battery is located the memory and PSU in the system. Using a plastic scribe or similar tool, pry back the latch and release the Battery.
Lift the Battery up and out of the connector.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Internal Speaker:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The speaker is connected under the 3 HDD. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard.
Pull the tab on the side of the speaker and slide it out the side of the chassis.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the WLAN (WiFi, Wireless) Card:
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The Wireless card slot is located between the coin cell battery and the PSU in the chassis. Remove the single screw locking down the antenna bracket.
Disconnect the WiFi antenna cables from the card. (The connector is a press stud and should pop off the card when you apply a little pressure.)
Pull the card out of the slot and the system.
Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Power Supply Unit (PSU):
During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the System Cover.
The PSU is located in the bottom of the left-hand side corner of the system. Lay the system on its left side and disconnect the power cables from the motherboard and the drives.
Remove the three (3) screws securing the PSU to the rear of the chassis. Press the metal tab on the right-hand side of the PSU and push the PSU towards the front of the chassis.
Lift the PSU out of the system.
