Symptoms

The PCI slots on Dell™ PowerEdge™ 600SC servers will not accept 5-volt PCI cards.

All PCI slots on 600SC servers are keyed for 3.3-volt PCI cards. The PCI slots are keyed correctly for the chipset design. Dell’s external User’s Guide for this system depicts the slots incorrectly.

 

Refer to Figure 1, below, for the correct system board configuration.
