Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools, that are not available to our onsite engineers.

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Stand:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Place the system on its screen. Press and slide the release tab at the back of where the stand meets the system.

  1. Hold the button in the release position and lift the stand upward. Then slide the stand downward, to lift the stand off the back cover.

    4. Remove the Stand, Cable Cover (optional), Back Cover, System Board Shield.

  2. Remove the two (M2x4) screws that secure the WLAN card shield to the motherboard [1] and remove the shield from the system [2].

  1. Move the antenna cables out of the routing guides.

  2. Remove the single screw that secures the bracket to the card [3], slide the bracket off of the card [4] and disconnect the antenna cables from card [5] and lift the card out of the system [6].
