Symptoms

Add a new Array to the Domain.

Unable to add VNX array to Domain.

Error message: 
CIMOM Can't get the VNX hardware class from - ip X.X.X.X - Error connecting SSL. Error details: A system call error errno=10057

Cause

When you have multiple Arrays in the domain and receive the below error message, a domain primary must be added.

Resolution

Promoted a new primary with the highest Array Software Revision and the highest Client Revision as the domain primary.
  1. Log in as sysadmin to the current Domain primary SP.
  2. Select Domain (example local, VNX, and so forth).
  3. Local or domain that you are wanting to add Array to.
  4. Select Domain primary on the right side.
  5. Select IP address of SPA with the highest Software Revision AND Client Revision.
  6. Add the Array to the domain.
