Dell D3100 USB Dock set at 4K and 30Hz may Cause the Mouse Movement to Become Erractic

You may notice that the mouse movement becomes erratic when the external monitor resolution set to 4K with a 30Hz refresh rate.

To help resolve this issue, perform the following steps.

• For Windows 8:
  1. Move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner of the screen until the Charms Bar appears.
  2. Click or Touch Settings.
  3. Click or Touch Control Panel.
  4. Click or Touch Hardware and Sound.
  5. Under Devices and Printers, click or touch Mouse.
  6. Click or Touch the Pointer Options tab.
  7. In the Motion section, move the slider to the right until it is next to Fast.
  8. In the Visibility section, Click to check the Display Pointer Trials box.
  9. Move the slider to the lest until it is next to Short.
  10. Click or Touch OK.
  11. Save your data, close any Windows or programs and reboot the computer.

• For Windows 7
  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click Hardware and Sound.
  4. Under Devices and Printers, click Mouse.
  5. Click the Pointer Options tab.
  6. In the Motion section, move the slider to the right until it is next to Fast.
  7. In the Visibility section, Click to check the Display Pointer Trials box.
  8. Move the slider to the lest until it is next to Short.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Save your data, close any Windows or programs and reboot the computer.
